Privacy Policy
Effective Date: September 1, 2026
This privacy policy applies to the Rever application for mobile devices (the "Application"), developed and operated by Harshita Singh (the "Service Provider", "we", "us", or "our").
1. Information Collection and Use
The Application collects information when you download and use it. This automatically collected information may include:
- Your device's Internet Protocol (IP) address
- Application interactions, session timestamps, and feature usage statistics
- Your mobile device operating system version and hardware model
- Crash diagnostics and application performance logs
Additionally, you may optionally provide personal profile information within the app, such as your birth year, body weight, gender, and unit preferences (km / mi), which are used solely for calculating personalized fitness metrics such as maximum heart rate, heart rate zones, and running energetics.
2. Health Connect by Android & Health Data Disclosure
Rever integrates with Health Connect by Android to import and analyze your running and physical activity data. Access to health and fitness data is strictly optional and only occurs after you explicitly grant permission.
A. Health Data Types Accessed (Read-Only)
- Resting Heart Rate: We read baseline resting heart rate records to determine your individual resting cardiovascular baseline. This is used exclusively to compute personalized Heart Rate Reserve (Karvonen method) training zones (Easy, Steady, Hard, Max) and 80/20 effort distribution.
- Heart Rate & Heart Rate Samples: To measure exercise intensity, real-time pace-to-HR correlation, workout average/maximum heart rate, and aerobic decoupling over the course of a run.
- Exercise Sessions: To identify and import recorded workout sessions, session durations, and activity types (such as running).
- Exercise Routes / Location: To display GPS route maps for your recorded runs and compute split distances, elevation profiles, and Grade Adjusted Pace (GAP).
- Speed & Distance: To calculate paces, kilometer/mile split times, and total running distances.
- Elevation Gained: To compute elevation profiles and Grade Adjusted Pace (GAP) analytics.
- Steps & Steps Cadence: To analyze step counts and running cadence metrics.
- Power & Activity Intensity: To calculate running mechanical power output and intensity levels.
- VO2 Max: To track cardiorespiratory fitness estimates and compute race prediction benchmarks.
- Active & Total Calories Burned: To provide accurate workout energy expenditure estimates.
B. Specific Purpose of Processing
All Health Connect data is accessed solely to power user-facing athletic insights, workout visualizations, training load tracking, and running performance analytics within the Application.
C. On-Device Processing, Offline Operation & Privacy Safeguards
- Strictly Local & Offline-First Architecture: The Application is designed with a privacy-first, offline architecture. Rever functions fully offline without requiring an account, cloud login, or active internet connection to import, process, and analyze your workout sessions. All Health Connect data is read, calculated, and stored purely on-device in a sandboxed local database.
- No Cloud Sync or Remote Storage of Health Data: Your raw health, biometric, heart rate, resting heart rate, and GPS route data is never uploaded, transmitted, or backed up to external application servers or cloud infrastructure.
- No Sale or Transfer of Health Data: We do not sell, rent, license, trade, or transfer your Health Connect data or health information to third parties, data brokers, or information resellers under any circumstances.
- No Advertising or Marketing Use: Health Connect data is never used, disclosed, or shared for advertising, marketing, profiling, or interest-based targeting.
- Google Play Policy Compliance: Our access, handling, and use of Health Connect data strictly complies with the Google Play Health Connect Permissions Policy, including the Minimum Scope, Limited Use, and Purpose Specification requirements.
3. Third-Party Services & SDKs
The Application utilizes select third-party SDKs solely for operational analytics and crash reporting. These services receive only anonymized diagnostic events and generic application metrics. No Health Connect biometric data (heart rate, resting heart rate, GPS route, speed, or workout logs) is ever shared with or transmitted to these third-party SDKs.
Below are links to the privacy policies of the third-party service providers used:
4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
The Application may use diagnostic identifiers and similar technologies within third-party SDKs to support core functionality, crash diagnostics, and stability monitoring. Where required by applicable law, the Service Provider will obtain consent before collecting non-essential diagnostics.
5. Data Retention and Deletion Policy
Because your workout and health data is stored locally on your device:
- Local Data: Retained on your device for as long as the Application remains installed. You can delete all local workout and health data at any time by clearing the Application's storage or uninstalling the app.
- Health Connect Permissions: You can revoke Rever's access to Health Connect permissions at any time via Android System Settings > Apps > Health Connect > App permissions > Rever.
- Diagnostic & Analytics Data: Retained in aggregated, anonymized form by diagnostic providers for up to 24 months, strictly for performance and crash monitoring.
6. Your Privacy Rights
You have the right to access, rectify, or delete any personal data held by the Service Provider, and to withdraw any previously given consent. To exercise any of these rights, please contact the Service Provider at codecklabs@gmail.com.
7. California Privacy Rights (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information is collected, disclosed, or retained
- Request deletion of your personal information
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (Note: We do not sell or share personal or health information)
- Be free from discrimination for exercising your privacy rights
To exercise your California privacy rights, contact us at codecklabs@gmail.com.
8. International Data Transfers
Where anonymized diagnostic or crash data is processed internationally by cloud infrastructure providers, appropriate legal transfer safeguards (such as European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses) are applied in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
9. Children's Privacy
The Application is not intended for children under 16 years of age (or the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction). The Service Provider does not knowingly collect or solicit personal data from children. 11. Data Breach Notification
In the event of a security incident affecting personal data, the Service Provider will notify affected users and relevant supervisory authorities in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
The Service Provider may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any material modifications will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Application after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
